One of the worst things about being a lone parent is having to make decisions about my lovely girls on my own. Nobody to talk things through with, yes I have family to talk to about things, but it is still all down to me. Nobody is quite enough, I would love to be able to talk it all through with Nigel but of course I can't. Sophie is in year 5 at school now, and so moves up to secondary school, or high school as it is known in West Yorkshire, in September 2013. I am already starting to think through the application which will have to be completed in September this year. Pros and cons for all the options, so I will have to do my research, go and visit, and talk things through with various people.

Hi Anna!
I always read your blog and never commented until now.
My only advice regarding changing schools is to go and visit when the pupils are in on a normal day.
I know that you will have the opportunity to visit in the evenings but I really think you get a good feel for a school when it is full of pupils and teachers.
Sorry to hear you are feeling down at the mo. Take care of yourself xxxx
