Picked up a coverless magazine in the doctor's surgery today. Your opening remarks sent a shiver down my spine. I lost my forty year old husband on August 10th, 2003. Like you I am a primary school teacher. My youngest, now nine, was four on August 17th, just a week after Matthew died. Your wish for just one phonecall resonated with me. I have often wished for just that. Unlike you I did get to say goodbye as Matthew had been diagnosed with stomach cancer eleven days before he died. You sound strong and practical as people tell me I am. But we have no other choice. Have we? I wish you well in your journey. Anne
Who am I? Interesting question! I can be found under many guises, all depends on the day and the task in hand! Most of all I love being mum to my gorgeous girls, even though the task of lone parenting is bigger than I ever imagined I would face.
